Xiaomi introduced the flagship YU7 GT SUV at the Beijing Auto Show, marking a significant step for the brand in the high-performance electric SUV segment. Developed with input from the Nürburgring, the YU7 GT offers nearly 1,000 hp and a host of track-focused enhancements, all while maintaining family-friendly practicality.
The YU7 GT distinguishes itself from standard YU7 models with aggressive styling upgrades. The exterior features flared wheel arches, a redesigned blacked-out grille, unique air intakes, and a special hood badge crafted from carbon fiber and 24-karat gold. At the rear, a prominent diffuser and lip spoiler contribute to both aesthetics and aerodynamics. Wheel options include 21- and 22-inch alloys, and the braking system has also been upgraded to match the vehicle’s performance credentials.
Under the bodywork, the YU7 GT comes equipped with a dual-motor setup: a 386 hp front motor and a 604 hp rear motor, resulting in a total output of 990 hp. This places it well above competitors such as the Porsche Macan Turbo Electric, which offers 630 hp. While full performance figures have not yet been released, Xiaomi claims the YU7 GT will reach a top speed of 300 km/h and is likely to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over two seconds. The SUV also features an air suspension system, rear-axle torque vectoring, and refined traction control. Track-oriented buyers can opt for carbon ceramic brakes supplied by Brembo.
