Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Gets Luxury-Focused Black Box Makeover

13 Aug 2026

Black Box Custom 4×4 has created a bespoke version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series, combining the model’s traditional off-road character with an unusually luxury-focused interior. The Signature Series project is based on a brand-new, post-facelift 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser LC76 five-door station wagon and retains its standard turbodiesel powertrain while receiving extensive cosmetic and chassis modifications.

Baby Blue Body With Added Off-Road Hardware

The exterior is finished in matte baby blue and paired with a contrasting white roof. Black Box fitted body-colored steel bumpers and fender flares, while additional equipment includes a black bull bar, snorkel, extendable towing mirrors and a custom roof rack equipped with extra LED lighting. The combination keeps loveral functional off-road elements while giving the LC76 a noticeably different appearance from the standard vehicle.

The modifications also extend underneath the vehicle. Black Box installed a lifted suspension with heavy-duty shocks, while beadlock wheels are wrapped in larger mud-terrain tires. The increased ride height is accompanied by electrically deployable side steps designed to make entering and exiting the wagon easier after the suspension changes.

Despite the visual transformation, the build continues to use equipment associated with the Land Cruiser’s off-road role. The bull bar, snorkel, roof-mounted equipment, towing mirrors and mud-terrain tires sit alongside the suspension lift rather than replacing the vehicle’s rugged hardware with purely cosmetic changes.

White Leather Dominates The Cabin

Inside, Black Box took a very different approach from the Land Cruiser 70 Series’ traditionally utilitarian presentation. White leather covers the dashboard, center console, door cards and seats, while a matching white headliner completes the theme. The source compares the resulting cabin treatment with the style associated with Brabus-modified vehicles.

The cabin also receives an aftermarket Pioneer infotainment screen. A bank of auxiliary switches has been added to operate the extra equipment installed as part of the conversion. Beyond those additions and the extensive white upholstery, the source does not describe further changes to the vehicle’s factory controls or mechanical systems.

Black Box left the engine and drivetrain unchanged. The LC76 continues to use Toyota’s stock 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel producing 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and the standard four-wheel-drive system.

This LC76 Is Already Reserved

Black Box Custom 4×4, which is based in Costa Rica, has not published a price for this particular Land Cruiser LC76. The vehicle is already listed as reserved on the company’s website. According to the source, other modified Land Cruiser 70 Series vehicles remain available to view in the tuner’s current inventory, making those builds the next option for customers interested in similar conversions.
