Q1 2026 auto sales highlight a shifting pickup truck market, with Ram emerging as a clear winner while longtime leaders Ford F-Series and Chevy Silverado lost ground. Strong demand for Ram’s lineup drove significant growth, reshaping early-year sales rankings.
Ram delivered an impressive performance in the first quarter, recording 98,425 total sales—an increase of 25 percent year-over-year. The Ram 1500 led the charge with 59,828 units sold, marking a 27 percent jump. Meanwhile, the heavy-duty Ram HD lineup also performed strongly, rising 21 percent to reach 38,597 units.
y Face Early-Year Setback
In contrast, traditional segment leaders Ford F-Series and Chevy Silverado struggled to maintain momentum in Q1 2026. Although still dominant in overall market presence, both models experienced a slowdown compared to Ram’s rapid growth.
While Ram’s pickup trucks excelled, not every model in the brand’s portfolio followed suit. The ProMaster van saw a slight decline, dropping 5 percent compared to the same period last year. Despite this, the Ram brand overall posted a strong 20 percent increase in total sales, underscoring the growing demand for its trucks.
