A highly unusual Ferrari 430 Scuderia has surfaced for private sale in Munich, and it may be one of the most important examples of the model ever offered. According to the seller, this Blu Scozia car carries chassis number 155217 and is believed to be the first 430 Scuderia ever built.
The 430 Scuderia was officially presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, but Aatelier M, the private seller handling this car, says this example was built before the show car displayed by Ferrari. That makes it especially significant for collectors interested in early-production or factory-retained models.
The seller says the car was originally kept by Ferrari itself and allocated exclusively to senior company management. Unlike many early examples of special models, it was reportedly never used for press or media duties.
Rather than wearing the more predictable Rosso Corsa paintwork, this 430 Scuderia is finished in Blu Scozia with silver racing stripes. It also features yellow brake calipers and large Scuderia Shields on the front fenders, giving it a more understated but distinctive appearance.
The cabin is just as special. The interior is trimmed in Grigio Alcantara across key areas including the dashboard, seat bolsters, headrests, pillars and rear bulkhead.
According to Aatelier M, the origins of this car had remained largely unknown until now. Since leaving Ferrari’s ownership, it has reportedly been held exclusively by collectors.
The car comes with service history and currently shows 23,000 km, or around 14,300 miles, on the odometer. The listing also notes that it has covered less than 4,000 km, or roughly 2,500 miles, over the past 15 years.
The 430 Scuderia is remembered as one of Ferrari’s sharpest mid-engined V8 models. Developed with input from Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, it was designed as a lighter, harder and more focused version of the F430.
That connection, combined with the car’s reported first-build status, factory history and unusual specification, could make this example one of the most desirable 430 Scuderias in existence.
Aatelier M has not publicly listed an asking price for the car. However, given its claimed build status, Ferrari ownership history and rare configuration, it is expected to command a major premium over a standard 430 Scuderia.
The source report notes that it could become one of the most expensive 430 Scuderias ever sold, although it is not expected to match the $1.65 million achieved by an example from the Phil Bachman collection earlier this year.
