F1 Academy and Disney have unveiled a dedicated merchandise collection for the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, expanding the “Fuel the Magic” campaign with Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck-inspired apparel, accessories and a special show car at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The new collection is set to launch at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Thursday, May 21, ahead of the second round of the 2026 F1 Academy season in Canada. The race weekend will run alongside the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal.
The launch follows the expansion of a multi-year collaboration between Disney and Formula 1. The partnership previously included a limited-edition capsule at the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix and continued at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix with a Gentle Monster eyewear collaboration and pop-up stores in Seoul and Shanghai.
The F1 Academy-focused collection adds 11 new items to the Disney and Formula 1 product range. It includes graphic T-shirts featuring Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck in F1 Academy-inspired race suits, hoodies with a Minnie Mouse wheel icon, and collectible accessories such as pins, keyrings and caps.
The items will be available to purchase at the track during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, while selected pieces will also be offered online. The launch will be joined by Disney and Formula 1 Uniqlo products and a new Disney Store collection.
Liz Shortreed, senior vice president of Disney Consumer Products, described Montreal as an important next step for the Disney and Formula 1 collaboration. She said the new products, content and experiences are designed to celebrate confidence and individuality while inspiring the next generation of female athletes and leaders.
F1 Academy managing director Susie Wolff said the collaboration creates an opportunity to rethink what racing merchandise can look like as new audiences enter Formula 1. She said bringing Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck into the racing world allowed F1 Academy to create a modern and feminine collection built around two fearless female characters.
Wolff added that the project is about more than giving fans a way to show support for F1 Academy. According to her, the collaboration reflects the power of women supporting women and challenges outdated ideas about who belongs in motorsport.
To support the launch, a Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck-inspired show car will be displayed in the “Fuel the Magic” activation area at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The area will also feature apparel and accessories from the Disney x Formula 1 2026 collection and the Disney x Formula 1 core collection.
Character appearances from Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck are also planned during the weekend. Separately, a limited-release dog collection including harnesses, leads and a waste bag holder will debut in Montreal before a wider summer release.
The Montreal round of the 2026 F1 Academy season takes place from May 22 to 24 as a support event to the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. Free practice and qualifying are scheduled for Friday, followed by the opening race and reverse-grid race on Saturday, and the feature race on Sunday.
Canadian driver Autumn Fisher, aged 18, will join the grid as the Standard Chartered wild card entry for the round.
The Disney and WEBTOON original vertical comics series, Mickey x Formula 1: Racing to the Top!, will also release a new episode timed to the Montreal weekend. The series has been publishing race-by-race episodes since its launch alongside the Australian Grand Prix on March 6.
With trackside merchandise, character appearances, a themed show car and digital content, the Disney x F1 Academy collection gives the Canadian Grand Prix weekend a broader entertainment and lifestyle focus while reinforcing F1 Academy’s push to reach new audiences.
