Wet and dry performance evaluations were carried out at Continental’s Contidrom test facility near Hannover, Germany. Early morning temperatures of around 4°C provided optimal conditions, as winter tyre compounds perform best below 7°C.
Wet testing included braking, cornering, and aquaplaning resistance. A controlled straight-line braking test from 50mph to zero ensured consistency by using the same section of asphalt. Cornering grip was measured on a circular track, while a demanding 1.1-mile handling circuit assessed stability, traction, and control under braking.
