The next-generation 2027 Hyundai Tucson has been caught with its interior exposed, revealing a major cabin redesign centered around a large 17-inch touchscreen and Hyundai’s latest infotainment layout.
New spy images provide the clearest look yet at the redesigned interior of the 2027 Hyundai Tucson. The cabin marks a major departure from the dashboard and control layout Hyundai has used across many of its models over the past decade.
The new Tucson appears to adopt a design language already seen in Hyundai’s latest Ioniq 3 and Grandeur, with a more screen-focused dashboard and a simplified center console.
The biggest change is the arrival of Hyundai’s Pleos Connect infotainment system, built around a large 17-inch central touchscreen. A small digital instrument cluster is also expected, although it is not visible in the latest spy image.
Despite the larger display, the cabin still appears to retain some physical buttons and rotary controls below the screen, giving drivers quick access to key functions without relying entirely on touch inputs.
The 2027 Tucson also receives Hyundai’s new four-spoke steering wheel, similar to the setup used in the Ioniq 3 and Grandeur. Its button layout is different from the familiar arrangement used on Hyundai models for years.
A column-mounted gear selector also appears to be part of the new setup. This frees space in the center console, where Hyundai is expected to place a wireless smartphone charging pad.
The spy shot also shows redesigned door panels and a driver-monitoring system positioned behind the steering wheel. Much of the cabin appears to be covered in soft-touch materials, suggesting Hyundai is aiming for a more refined interior feel.
These updates indicate that the Tucson’s redesign will go well beyond a simple screen upgrade, with Hyundai rethinking the overall cabin architecture.
The outside of the 2027 Hyundai Tucson is also expected to receive a major overhaul. Previous prototypes have been seen under heavy camouflage, but the SUV is believed to take inspiration from Hyundai’s recent Crater concept.
Expected exterior changes include a bolder front end, distinctive LED lighting, possible blacked-out twin grilles, squared-off wheel arches, and a redesigned rear section with new lights, tailgate, and bumper.
Hyundai has not yet confirmed the powertrain lineup for the next Tucson. However, it is expected to remain broadly similar to the current model, likely including turbocharged, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options.
There is also speculation about a full Tucson N performance variant, although Hyundai has not confirmed such a model at this stage.
