Lynk & Co GT Concept Previews a Striking Electric Coupe

21 May 2026

Lynk & Co has revealed the GT concept, a dramatic all-electric grand tourer that marks a more emotional direction for the Geely-owned brand. Presented as part of the company’s tenth anniversary celebrations, the two-door EV concept combines classic long-hood coupe proportions with modern electric performance claims and active aerodynamic technology.

Lynk & Co Moves Beyond Practical EVs

Lynk & Co is best known in Europe for practical, mobility-focused models, but the GT concept shows that the brand is also interested in building a more aspirational image. Instead of another crossover or sedan, the company has created a low, elegant electric coupe designed to act as a potential halo car.

The exterior design uses traditional grand tourer proportions, with a long front section, a low roofline and a powerful rear stance. While the styling carries hints of established luxury coupes, the GT concept has enough presence to stand on its own as one of Lynk & Co’s most striking design studies so far.

Rear-Wheel Drive and a Claimed 2-Second Sprint

According to the source, the Lynk & Co GT concept is rear-wheel drive and has a claimed 0-62 mph acceleration time of around 2 seconds. That figure would place it among the quickest electric performance cars on paper, although such a result would likely depend on ideal grip and launch conditions.

The concept is said to be slightly larger than a Ferrari Roma but smaller than a Maserati GranTurismo Folgore. Its positioning therefore sits closer to a luxury electric grand tourer than a compact sports car.

Active Aero Gives the GT a Track-Focused Side

One of the GT concept’s most interesting features is its active aerodynamic system. A special “plus” button inside the cabin triggers a more aggressive setup, extending the front and rear bumpers by around 3.9 inches, or 10 cm, to improve downforce. At the same time, the car lowers itself by about 0.6 inches, or 1.5 cm.

This transformation suggests Lynk & Co wants the GT to be more than a design exercise. The company presents the concept as a car that could feel at home on a circuit as well as on long-distance roads.

A Minimalist Cabin With Performance Details

The interior follows a clean, driver-focused layout with luxury cues and lime green accents. The cabin also includes retractable display elements. The instrument panel can fold away, and the smaller central screens can also be hidden to reduce distractions during performance driving.

This approach gives the GT concept a dual character: a stylish grand tourer for road use and a more focused machine when the driver wants a purer driving environment.

Production Has Not Been Ruled Out

For now, the Lynk & Co GT remains a concept. However, the brand has not ruled out the possibility of a production version. Lynk & Co says public and community feedback will help shape future decisions, including potential powertrain options and whether the car could reach showrooms.

If it does move forward, the GT could help Lynk & Co build a stronger emotional identity in the EV market. China already has a large number of electric crossovers, sedans and hatchbacks, but distinctive halo models are becoming increasingly important as brands compete for attention globally.

China’s Performance EV Race Is Expanding

The Lynk & Co GT concept also arrives as other Chinese manufacturers explore high-performance electric grand tourers. BYD’s Denza brand has already previewed the 1,000-hp Denza Z and confirmed coupe and roadster body styles for production.

That context makes the Lynk & Co GT more than a design showcase. It reflects a wider shift in China’s EV industry, where manufacturers are moving beyond efficiency and affordability to create cars with stronger design appeal, higher performance and greater brand-building value.
