Autumn Fisher will make her F1 Academy debut at the second round of the 2026 season in Montreal, joining the grid as the Standard Chartered-backed wild card entry for the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
F1 Academy has confirmed that 18-year-old Canadian driver Autumn Fisher will race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as the wild card entry for round two of the 2026 season. Her appearance comes through F1 Academy’s partnership with Standard Chartered.
Fisher earned the chance to compete during an F1 Academy weekend after taking part in the inaugural rookie test at Navarra last year. She will drive the #77 car in Montreal, operated by Hitech GP.
Although Montreal will mark her first F1 Academy race weekend, Fisher already has single-seater experience. She competes in the British Formula 4 Championship and has also raced in the French Formula 4 Championship.
That background gives her a valuable foundation as she steps into the all-female racing series for a home-country appearance during the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
Fisher said she is extremely excited to join the F1 Academy grid in Montreal and described the opportunity as a major moment in her career. She thanked F1 Academy and Standard Chartered for the chance to race and said she is looking forward to making the most of the weekend on track.
F1 Academy managing director Susie Wolff said Standard Chartered’s support of the Montreal wild card entry shows the company’s commitment to the series in action.
Wolff added that creating opportunities and expanding the pathway for emerging talent is central to F1 Academy’s mission. She said the wild card initiative exists to give rising drivers a platform to step up and that the series is looking forward to seeing Fisher make her debut.
Tanuj Kapilashrami, chief strategy and talent officer at Standard Chartered, said the company is proud to support Fisher as its wild card entry for Montreal. She said the partnership allows Standard Chartered to use its global brand to champion female talent in motorsport through F1 Academy.
Kapilashrami added that investing in women and girls through sport helps reshape ideas around leadership, performance and opportunity for the next generation.
The Montreal round will take place at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as part of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend. For Fisher, the event offers a high-profile debut on home soil and a chance to showcase her potential against the F1 Academy field.
