Audi is preparing to introduce a new electric sports car in 2027, previewed by the bold Concept C. Designed to bridge the gap between the iconic TT and R8, this upcoming EV promises a balance of performance, innovation, and everyday usability while showcasing Audi’s next-generation design language.
The new electric sports car will be roughly the same size as a Porsche 911, placing it firmly in the premium performance segment. Audi aims to combine the agility and accessibility of the TT with the power and prestige of the R8, creating a compelling new offering in its EV lineup.
The Concept C introduces a fresh design direction for Audi, with sleek proportions and futuristic styling. Inside, the brand signals a shift back toward physical controls, addressing user feedback on touchscreen-heavy cabins. A standout feature is the retractable display, which can fully disappear when not needed, enhancing driver focus and cabin minimalism.
While Audi has not disclosed full powertrain details, the Concept C was developed as a rear-wheel-drive model and is expected to share its platform with the upcoming Porsche 718 EV. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant has already been confirmed for production, offering enhanced performance and traction.
The rear-wheel-drive concept weighs approximately 3,726 pounds, signaling Audi’s effort to keep the car relatively lightweight for an electric sports model. This focus on weight management should contribute to sharper handling and a more engaging driving experience.
