The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser arrives with a minimal $280 price increase while introducing new features like a raised air intake and upgraded rear-seat comfort, making it an even more appealing off-road SUV.
Toyota keeps the Land Cruiser lineup simple for 2027, offering two trims: the base 1958 Edition and a higher-spec variant. The 1958 Edition now starts at $59,375, while the upper trim is priced from $65,450. Both models see only a modest $280 increase over the previous year, maintaining strong value in the segment.
The Land Cruiser shares its body-on-frame platform with the Toyota 4Runner, meaning both SUVs offer similar off-road capabilities. However, the choice between them often comes down to design preference and powertrain. While the Land Cruiser leans into its retro styling, the 4Runner stands out with its exclusive hybrid option and slightly lower starting price—beginning at $51,985 for non-hybrid models and $54,785 for hybrids. Higher-end 4Runner trims, like the TRD Pro, can reach up to $69,895.
For 2027, Toyota adds a raised air intake option to the Land Cruiser, similar to the setup found on the 4Runner Trailhunter. Priced at $980, this feature enhances airflow in dusty environments but is not a fully sealed snorkel for deep water crossings.
Additionally, the Premium package now includes heated and ventilated rear seats, improving passenger comfort. This package costs $4,905—an increase of $550 compared to last year—and is available only on the higher trim level.
Toyota continues to expand its rugged vehicle lineup with TRD variants across trucks and SUVs. With shared components and proven durability, the Land Cruiser remains a compelling choice for buyers seeking a balance of heritage design, modern features, and serious off-road capability.
